Event Details
The BayPay Forum announces its 14th event for year 2011; "The Future of Prepaid in the US." The event will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at 6PM at Intuit Corporation's Headquarters in Mountain View, CA.
For this edition of The BayPay Forum, we have asked industry leaders Brian Triplett (Global Head of Prepaid Products, Visa), Eric Dunn (SVP Payments, Intuit), Chris Britt (SVP Corporate Development, Green Dot), Amir Wain (CEO, I2C), David Tate (General Manager, Gift Blackhawk Network) and Gwenn Bezard (Partner, AITE) to share their vision about how Prepaid will grow, support mobile payments/acquiring and the next generation of exciting new products and initiatives.
The Prepaid Industry is leading the economy’s shift from cash to electronic payments. These new electronic payments will include more information, offers and security for cardholders than ever thought possible. Particularly open-loop products, which grew over 30% last year, continue to deliver benefits to users and green field opportunities for new business innovators. GPR, mobile payments/acquiring, online gaming, and payroll are all experiencing double-digit growth creating tremendous investment, IPO and development activity despite, or perhaps because of, the tough economic environment. The Durbin amendment began to take effect in October and has resulted in a tilting of the playing field, damaging some business plans and enhancing others. The Associations are working to satisfy issuers and merchants while Program Managers are updating pricing to comply with business plans.
Andrew Radlow, Head of Business Development NA at Citi Prepaid Services, moderates the discussion.
BayPay's Founder and Managing Director Daniel Chatelain introduces BayPay Forum's new website at www.baypayforum.com (free registration for payment professionals), new mobile application on Android and iPhone (if Apple approves the app on time), and streaming chat feature, which will be used for posting questions and comments during the session.
